Health and social care are moving away from asking “What’s the matter with you?” to “What matters to you?” (WMTY?). This is a central principle that lies at the heart of person-centred care. This workshop is focused around how to set-up and have “WMTY”’ conversations with patients and colleagues and why it is so important for everyone.

This core Health Coaching training is ideal for anyone who wants to use coaching skills alongside and within their usual role. This is a stand-alone accredited and practical course that will enable participants to apply a health coaching approach from the end of Day 1 of the course. It also offers the perfect stepping stone to our Intermediate Certificate in Health Coaching. No prior experience is necessary.

This course is fully accredited by the NHS Personalised Care Institute (PCI) and UKIHCA approved. Participants can be confident they will be trained to the highest standards by experienced health coaching professionals with a strong track record in health coaching training nationwide.

This stand-alone course follows successful completion of our Intermediate Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Coaching (or a PCI-accredited 4 day-course via another provider). To achieve Practitioner I status, you will need to log 50 hours of health and wellbeing coaching and complete our Peak Health Coaching Practitioner I portfolio, gathering valuable feedback from peers and gaining verification of your knowledge and understanding of key health coaching concepts and skills.

Following completion of the Practitioner I Certificate, participants can add on this 6 - 12 month learning module. Cohorts are offered quarterly and begins with a compulsory introductory session followed by monthly tutor-led sessions to support you in completing your practical and written requirements for summative assessment and certification. All course participants have access to extensive online learning resources to support their development and portfolio submission.

Following completion of the Senior Practitioner Diploma in Health & Wellbeing Coaching, participants can add on this 9 - 12 month module to achieve Advanced Master Practitioner status.

We set up an approach, skills and mindset we think people need to flourish in their role and have impact in the NHS.

In addition to our decades of clinical experience in the NHS, we have provided training in Person-Centred Care and Health coaching since 2017 and PCI-accredited training since 2021. We have brought this experience and the same educational rigour to our Health Coach Supervisor Training Programme. This programme ensures that health coaches and others in personalised care roles, feel supported, can develop their skills and feel confident to make their unique contribution.

This session is focused in supporting those staff currently applying health coaching skills in workplace support roles.

Peak Health Coaching are able to offer a package of supervision which includes 6 x 90 minute group sessions over a year for £360 plus VAT per person. Each session can accommodate between 2 and 6 participants and will be made up from Health Coaches across the sector.
